TERMS OF REFERENCE OF THE QUALITY EDUCATION ASSURANCE COMMITTEE (QUEAC)

To ensure that quality pupils are admitted into the school. (A thorough admission process should be put in place to support the ministry).
To influence selection of competent teachers and principals for the school (e.g., lobbying)
To develop guidelines for monitoring & supervision of quality of teaching & learning activities during school hours and assessing the effectiveness of teachers.
To recommend relevant Staff training and professional development programs (at least 2 times a year)
To organize regular motivational talks and counselling sessions for the students (at least once a term).
To have recognition and rewards as incentives to staff and students, for outstanding teachers and exemplary character. Criteria to be developed
To ensure adequate facilities for teaching and learning resources, monitoring the use of same appropriately in the classroom for the benefit of the students.:
To obtain the NECO & WAEC results from Principals and submit, with their opinion and recommendations, to NEC.
To develop strategies on sponsorship of indigent students for NECO.
To submit written report to NEC through the FVP at least 2 times a year.
To perform such other functions as are deemed to improve the quality of the performance of the students of OLA.
