The powers of the Legal Advisor as enshrined in the Article 7.4.4 of the Bye laws of OLAMIOSA are as follows:

• To be the Chief Compliance Officer of the Association and shall ensure that all regulatory requirements relating to the formation and continuous existence of the Association are met.
• Shall intimate the Association of any new regulatory requirement relating to the Association, and shall advise on the modus operandi of complying with such requirements.
• Shall advice on regulatory, compliance and legal matters affecting the Association.
• Unless otherwise determined, be the chairman of any committee set up by the Board of Trustees or the National Executive Council for the revision of the Constitution or the Bye-Laws of OLAMIOSA.
• To ensure that the rule of law is followed in respect of any disciplinary action to be taken against any member of OLAMIOSA.
